Casa Mona is a luxury spiritual haven situated on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica. You are encouraged to relax, recharge and reconnect while taking time to heal on the enchanted land that is the Talamanca region. Casa Mona is nestled within the tropical rainforest, and steps away from one of the most beautiful beaches in town. The lively Caribbean town of Puerto Viejo is minutes away by car or local Tuk Tuk.
Casa Mona itself is located in the tranquil beach town of Punta Uva, walking distance to a popular surf destination and some of the finest restaurants. This empowering yoga retreat is surrounded by lush jungle, protected nature reserves, ocean, as well as a freshwater river and lagoon. Abundant amounts of wildlife share this exquisite location. The completely private and remote location makes the eco-retreat center a desirable location for guests to visit from all over the world.
We’ll practice yoga and/or meditation daily, there'll be workshops led by Coach Mel and her team of co-facilitators, to help you rebuild and restore lost parts of yourself. We’ll journey to the waterfalls, and experience a chocolate tour. We’ll dance under the full moon at the beach on 10/9, and we’ll hold a manifestation ceremony on 10/10. And of course there’ll be plenty of time to rest, relax, explore and take adventures. Hi I’m Melinda (AKA Coach Mel). My spiritual journey began in 2009 when I was serving as an overseas Christian missionary. I loved being able to travel the world, learn from other cultures.
Then in 2016, a traumatic experience sent me into a spiral; and I woke up. I started to explore other restorative modalities, and was finally beginning to feel more authentic and more connected to my soul.
I enrolled in a healing arts school in AZ and studied spiritual life coaching, sound healing, yoga therapy, reiki and intuitive guidance and genuinely began to embrace my true nature as a divine catalyst.
One year after the pandemic began, another traumatic experience led me to make my Blaxit (Black exit) and I moved to Costa Rica in March 2021. I traveled around for a couple of months, and eventually found myself on the Caribbean Coast. An energy fell over me and whispered to me, “This is it”. The transformational powers of Costa Rica’s lush rainforests, stunning beaches, and refreshing waterfalls, provided me with the medicine I needed to heal.
A few months after arriving I hosted my first in-person retreat, and I realized, this is the work I was sent here to do. In this corner of the world Mother Nature meets Spirit for a beautiful combination of therapeutic vibes and divine activation.
Flights
You must arrive at the Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose, Costa Rica (SJO) on October 8th by 1:00 pm and depart October 15th, after 2:00 pm. If you need an overnight stay coming in or going out, you must book it yourself (this is not included). We suggest the Country Inn Suites in San Jose, they have an airport shuttle. A shuttle will pick you up from the airport or Country Inn Suites (included in price) and bring you to the sanctuary center on the Caribbean Coast. If you are not arriving in time to be on the transport, we can help you arrange your own taxi to the hotel (at your own cost).
The workshop is limited to 12 participants.
Also there is a VIP package available for 3 days after the workshop. This intimate group will stay at a smaller house with Coach Mel for more one-on-one attention, healing, empowerment and coaching.

Registration w/Cancellation Policy
A $500 deposit is required at time of registration. Balance due 30 days prior to departure. Deposits are 100% refundable until 60 days before departure, less than 60 days before departure, deposits are 50% nonrefundable, less than 30 days before departure, deposits are non refundable. If your trip is paid in full, any cancellation made between 90-60 days will result in a full refund, less than 60 days will result in a refund minus 50% of the deposit, less than 30 days will result in a total loss of funds, and an option to rebook for a future retreat will be given. We reserve the right to cancel the trip if it is not meeting the trip minimum attendee requirements (if we do so your deposit and any other payments made are refunded in full). If the trip is canceled due COVID restrictions implemented world wide, a full refund will be issued or an option given to reschedule at a later date. Trip cancellation insurance is always recommended whenever making travel plans. You can use our suggested Travel Guard Insurance online and choose from several policy options.
